History of Nelson Analytical Labs
Nelson Analytical was started in June 2001 with the purchase of Beland Water Testing Laboratory in Bedford, NH. Beland Lab was a small operation, but had an excellent reputation and had been in business for over 20 years providing drinking water testing services to both commercial and residential clientele.Under Andrew Nelson's ownership, the business quickly expanded its services into additional water and environmental testing capabilities, and began providing microbiological testing services to food and pharmaceutical clients. In May of 2002, Nelson Analytical acquired Demers Laboratory in Springvale, ME. Another small but very well established laboratory, Demers was immediately headed by Lorri Maling as Laboratory Director. Lorri brought with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in both inorganic and organic environmental analysis.
With a strong presence in both New Hampshire and Maine, Nelson Analytical continued to add capabilities and services. By 2005, the company was providing a full range of inorganic, organic and microbiological services to water, environmental, food, and pharmaceutical industries throughout New England.
In November of 2018, Nelson Analytical acquired EAI Analytical Labs in Swanzey, NH. EAI Analytical Labs was originally established in 1974 as Biological Services, and was acquired in 2003 and renamed EAI Analytical labs.
All the while, the laboratory locations have maintained state accreditation in both New Hampshire and Maine. Nelson Analytical has become an industry leader through rapid turnaround of test results, unsurpassed customer service before and after testing is provided, and the highest degree of quality and accuracy available.
